Dr Jack Fourie
We are pleased to welcome Dr Jack Fourie to the FNQ Plastic Surgery Team!
Dr. Jack Fourie is a General Practitioner with a special interest in the diagnosis and surgical management of skin cancer and benign lesions. He has undertaken advanced dermoscopy and skin cancer medicine training through the Skin Cancer
College Australasia and HealthCert Education, and continues to expand his skills in procedural dermatology.
Dr. Fourie’s interests include performing skin cancer excisions, biopsies, and cryotherapy, as well as providing pre- and post-operative care.
Originally from the Northern Territory, Dr. Fourie has called Cairns home since 2007. He completed his medical degree at James Cook University and
undertook his junior medical years at Cairns Base Hospital, including terms in plastic surgery and other surgical subspecialties. He later obtained his
Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), completing his training with an extended skills term in skin cancer management. He continues to practice in Cairns. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors—he is a keen fisherman and enjoys boating, camping, and hiking across Far North Queensland.
We are now accepting patients to see Dr. Fourie for:
- Skin checks
- Skin biopsies
- Skin excisions, including flaps and grafts
Dr. Fourie collaborates closely with Dr. Sørensen in managing complex or cosmetically sensitive cases.
